This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

Hatch End Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at HatchEnd@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority Action taken

Burglary remains a priority for the Hatch End team.

Issued 14 January 2026

Statistics show that Hatch End is one of the safest wards in London in respect of residential burglaries. The team are keen to ensure this trend remains. A large residential area, with a busy high street ensures the team have many homes and businesses to attend, so that people are given the best prevention advice to keep themselves and their property safe. Street briefings are commonplace throughout the ward.

Actioned 30 May 2026

Motor Vehicle Crime remains one of the three ward priorities for Hatch End.

Issued 14 January 2026

Motor vehicle crime is relatively low compared to several other wards across Harrow, however, several individuals were arrested recently where a stolen car housing stolen goods was located in the centre of the ward. The teams PCSO's and PC's regularly patrol those areas to ensure vehicles are safe and parked in clear view preventing opportunities to those who are keen to engage in theft of and theft from vehicles. Ward residents are encouraged to view their ring door bell CCTV to help the team identify and locate those engaged in vehicle interference, particularly overnight.

Actioned 30 May 2026

Violence and Drugs remains as a ward priority.

Issued 14 January 2026

Hatch End officers will remain proactive in both uniform and plain clothes to ensure those engaged in drug use are dealt with robustly when committing offences.

Actioned 30 May 2026

The word cloud below represents the issues raised by residents through their Local Matters survey. We take this into consideration along with discussions with stakeholders, ward panel meetings and conversations with the public when setting our key priorities
