Marlborough

Welcome to Met Engage,

We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

Marlborough Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at Marlborough@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority Action taken

Anti‑social behaviour continues to impact the quality of life for residents, particularly levels of youth nuisance, street drinking, drug misuse, rowdy gatherings, and behaviour linked to intimidation or environmental damage. Repeat locations and individuals create ongoing concern and reduce public confidence.

Issued 23 April 2026

To reduce anti‑social behaviour within the ward, increase resident confidence, and create safer, more respectful public spaces through targeted enforcement, problem‑solving, and early intervention.

Objectives:

Identify and address ASB hotspots through intelligence‑led patrols.
Tackle repeat offenders using appropriate powers and partnership interventions.
Support vulnerable residents and victims affected by persistent ASB.
Work with partners to prevent escalation and promote positive behaviour.

Violence Against Women and Girls - VAWG - Marlborough Safer Neighbourhood Team is committed in the reduction of violent crime including those crimes committed against women and girls. This will be achieved through joint working with partner agencies and proactive policing, alongside community engagement events and speaking to those directly living and working in Harrow.

Issued 15 January 2026

Daily patrols of the ward whilst engaging with members of the community on their individual perception of their safety. Also gaining an understanding of the issues they have identified within the ward. Along with increased patrols on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Walk and Talk events held from the local tube stations during peak travel times, offering advice and the chance for community to express concerns.

Conduct regular walk-throughs of affected stores to reassure staff and deter offending.

Intelligence-Led Targeting:
Review CCTV footage and crime patterns to identify repeat offenders.
Submit intelligence reports and circulate suspect descriptions on internal systems for wider awareness.

Partnership Engagement:
Liaise with store managers and security staff to improve reporting pathways and gather timely information.

Enforcement Activity:
Prioritise arrest of prolific offenders and those involved in organised retail crime.
