Welcome to Met Engage,

We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

Roxeth Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at Roxeth@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority Action taken

Drug Dealing

Issued 25 September 2025

The local team will focus on drug use and supply, specifically targeting to disrupt users and supply of drugs. This will be achieved through concentration of Hot spot areas identified to us South Harrow Tube Station, South Harrow Market, Roxeth Recreational ground, and the surrounding streets. Drugs users found in possession of drugs paraphernalia but not substance will be issued with Community Protection Notice Warnings (CPNW’s) in order to prohibit anti-social behaviour. Any breaches will be dealt with robustly.
Premises with closure orders will be monitored to ensure that they no longer attract drug users and keep the users visible on the streets to allow them to be dealt with by CPNW. To further stamp out drug use and drug related ASB, intel will be developed on possible address and locations of where regular drug use and drug related crimes take place, suitable for possible closure orders.
A Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) will be considered in any conviction following breaches of CPN’s to give long term solutions
Drug users are believed to be influencing a spike in theft from motor vehicle offences and motor vehicle interference offences, this also fuels violent crime through the supply of drugs and disputes over territory around supply areas.
This will be measured as quantifiable results for searches of persons, premises and vehicles for drugs, CPNW’s issued and breaches of closures orders.
This priority has been set by the Ward Panel members and therefore is relevant

Theft (Including the handling of stolen goods)

Issued 25 September 2025

The local team will focus on the handling of stolen goods and shoplifting, in particular the shoplifting from large stores such as Waitrose, ASDA, and petrol stations such as BP. These stores are shoplifted frequently to then sell to smaller store up and down Northolt Road.
The team will develop intelligence of sightings of possible shopliftings engaging with small shop keepers in regards to the sale of stolen items. This is to fuel drug use and/or drug supply.
Once evidence has been gathered Court warrants will be issued or premises and potential closure orders are put in place on premises that have been involved in the handling of stolen goods.
Joint operations with neighbouring wards will be conducted on large stores that are victim to frequent shoplifting. This is to reduce and arrest the shoplifters as the crime is being committed.
With the introduction of MET Engage plans are underway to increase community cohesion and inclusion in tackling this issue. The team are proactively patrolling hotspot areas, providing a high-visibility deterrent against offenders. Engagement with local authority and civil enforcement agencies to continue, and all information received from the public is welcome through MET Engage directly to the Local team.
