Stanmore

Welcome to Met Engage,

We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

Stanmore Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at Stanmore@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority Action taken

Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG)

Issued 01 January 2026

Prevent and reduce incidents of VAWG through proactive policing, safeguarding, and community engagement, ensuring victims are supported and offenders are held accountable. Deploy officers to identified hotspots (transport hubs, night-time economy areas, parks) during peak times. Engage with the public to provide reassurance and encourage reporting. Actively pursue suspects in VAWG-related offences, prioritising arrest and bail conditions to protect victims. Promote campaigns encouraging reporting and challenging harmful behaviours.

Actioned 01 February 2026

Burglary

Issued 01 January 2026

Reduce burglary offences and increase detection through proactive prevention, intelligence-led policing, and community engagement. Deploy officers to identified burglary hotspots, particularly during peak times. Conduct reassurance visits to recent victims and vulnerable properties. Review recent burglary reports to identify patterns, methods, and potential suspects. Engage with residents and businesses to provide practical security advice. Encourage reporting of suspicious activity via 101 or online channels. Prioritise arrest and disruption of known burglary offenders.

Actioned 01 February 2026

Shoplifting

Issued 01 January 2026

Reduce incidents of shoplifting and increase offender detection through proactive engagement and enforcement. Deploy officers and PCSOs to identified hotspot retail areas during peak times. Engage with store staff to provide reassurance and gather intelligence. Prioritise arrest and processing of repeat offenders and those committing theft with aggravating factors. Advise retailers on measures such as improved CCTV coverage, staff awareness training, and secure display of high-value items. Monitor patterns and update patrol plans accordingly.
