West Harrow Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Issued 02 July 2026	Reports of ASB in the area of Ford Close / Springway, namely use of NOS canisters in vehicles parked in the vicinity, group of males loitering outside residential addresses in late hours causing ASB. DWOs to conduct regular patrols to prevent and deter any Anti-Social Behaviour and to deal with individuals causing ASB (issuing of Community Protection Warning). Officers are in contact with local businesses to ensure right support is given to the residents. Actioned 02 October 2026
Theft/Vehicle Crime Issued 02 July 2026	Specifically around Shaftesbury Circle as there have been an increase of Thefts in location. Motor Vehicle Crime is more vast across the ward and not concentrated in one location. Actioned 02 October 2026
VAWG Issued 02 July 2026	West Harrow Rec: address concerns in West Harrow Rec following two knife related incidents (one being GBH) and also incidents of exposure at same location during daylight hours, often 1200-1400 and subsequent VAWG concerns. Walk and Talk events held regularly in park. Regular patrol plan but also increased plain clothes activity in attempt to identify suspect for exposure. VAWG targeted Walk & Talks held, stolen vehicle recovered. Actioned 02 October 2026
