Norbury & Pollards Hill Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

PMP/26701/25 VAWG- Ward Priority with focus VAWG around the alleyway for Norbury Hall Park around the Tennis Club and Little Hand Nursery.

To proactively patrol Norbury & Pollards Hill Ward to reduce violence against women and girls. We want to ensure that women feel able to come forward and that they feel well supported when they do so. We know the importance of seeking views from our community, and we will continue to deliver community engagements which will also include Safety Talks events, and do all we can to ensure women and girls feel safe wherever they are.
Offering support and sessions for women and girls through walk-in sessions with the women officers on SNT.

Speeding ( including vehicle related ASB)

Officers will look to conduct speed checks in the ward. Targeted Patrol around the ward will also be conducted to combat vehicle related offences such as speeding of cars, cycling and scooters on the pavement in Norbury and Pollards Hill.
Hi- vis and plain clothes operation specifically targeting vehicle crime hot spots and using data led intelligence to increase results .
Issuing Traffic Offence Reports for the people cycling on the pavement and seize / report people for using scooters.

PMP/20908/25 ASB with focus on Drug- Residents concerning about hot spots area for ASB drug , particularly Beatrice Avenue, Kilmartin Avenue, Dalmeny Avenue, Fairview Road and London road.

Concerns were raised by the community about drug dealing within Norbury and Pollards Hill . In response to this officers will perform a number of targeted patrols specifically were more detailed issues have been highlighted, to target the drug use/supply and the associated anti -social behaviour in the ward.
Tackling anti-social behaviour-drugs will also by proactively identify addresses and people who are engaged in illegal activities such as dealing drug and execute warrants.
Identify subjects involved in the drug related activity through plain close patrols, and engagement with the local community.
Collaborative work with partner to provide support for drug users.
Community protection warnings and notices to be considered if appropriate.
