Norbury Park Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Local Priority Issues
We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

VAWG related offences Issued 17 June 2026 |
Our priority remains to tackle violence & Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG) in our ward, which is the most prevalent offence taking place in London. We have increased our foot patrols across Norbury Park, specifically in the hot spot areas of Green Lane, Norbury Park, & Virginia Road, Norwood Grove. Offences related to violence has been reported which include domestic assault, domestic abuse and violence on the street. These numbers including violence involved injury and non-injury. Continued patrols in these areas, with reassurance visits to the most affects residents helps these situations, & guidance on how to stay safe. Actioned 16 September 2026 |

Speeding Norbury Park Issued 17 June 2026 |
We have been gathering intelligence related to Speeding. Currently we have Speeding operations, aiming towards specific roads that have been known for speeding in the past or that still cause an issue now for residents. Also leasing with local enforcement teams to help tackle this issue in the long run, for example, speed camera, speed bumps, and speed limit on certain roads. We are aware that there are some spots that we prioritize more due to more issues & safety elements, such as Green Lane, London Road, Norbury Avenue, Norbury Hill, Northwood Road to name a few. Theft from and Theft of Motor vehicles Issued 17 June 2026 |
Most of the Theft from & Theft of Motor Vehicle in our ward concerns of any possible similarity’s and Lost or Stollen (LOS) and key less offenses, which is one of our main focus, not only in this ward but across Croydon as a whole, which remains a big issue. SNT Norbury Park is engaging in proactive patrols and delivering valuable advice to victims of crime relating to Theft from & theft of Motor vehicle. By educating the public on how to make themselves less of a target to Theft from & theft of Motor vehicle & how to keep their vehicles safe when unattended, whether that be with a steering lock, dash-cam, making sure no valuables left in a vehicle and make sure all vehicle are properly locked and secured, and our increased police presence, we hope to reduce the recent Theft from & theft of Motor vehicle in the area. The majority of crimes where this takes place has been reported in the area of Brickfield Road Virginia Road, St. Oswald’s Road, Biggin Hill, & Carolina Road, Ingram Road to name a few.
