This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.
South Croydon Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Local Priority Issues
We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Robbery - Team to patrol robbery hotspot areas to deter robberies on school children at the beginning and end of school Issued 20 October 2025 |
High visibility patrols have been taking place on the lead up to the schools closing for summer holidays. officers have engaged with the schools, British transport police and local residents through these patrols. These are also planned for the return to school period where historically new students are more vulnerable on their journeys to and from school Actioned 23 July 2025 |

Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB): Tackling drug taking, squatting, begging and ASB in public spaces. Issued 20 October 2025 |
High visibility patrols have been conducted in the affected area and CPN's have been issued to those who persistently drink within the area. This is the first stage of more stringent enforcement of the problem within the area. Actioned 11 October 2025 |

Speeding and Vehicle offences - Our residents have told us that speeding is a problem within the side streets of the ward what run off the main roads. Issued 20 October 2025 |
officers have completed speed gun operations over the past few months. This enforcement has brought noticeable improvement for the areas we have carried out these operations. Whilst we know that these improvements are likely short term we will re visit these operations over the coming months to look for more sustained improvement. Actioned 20 October 2025 |
