Heathfield

Welcome to Met Engage,

We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

Heathfield Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at Heathfield@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority Action taken

Violence against Women and Girls

Issued 10 September 2026

The Ward Team is committed to tackling Violence Against Women and Girls and ensuring that everyone feels safe within our community. We encourage residents and local businesses to report incidents of harassment, intimidation or behaviour that makes women and girls feel unsafe. We have increased high-visibility patrols in key areas, including the High Street and other locations identified through community feedback. We work closely with partners to identify offenders, gather evidence and take robust action where offences have been committed. Our aim is to provide reassurance, support victims and deter unacceptable behaviour within our neighbourhoods.

Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB), Drug Use, Illegal Mopeds and E-Bikes

Issued 10 September 2026

The Ward Team encourages the community to continue reporting incidents of Anti-Social Behaviour, including illegal drug use, nuisance riding and the unlawful use of mopeds and e-bikes. We have followed up on information provided by residents and targeted our patrols in identified hotspot locations. We have engaged with those responsible for causing concern, taken enforcement action where appropriate and worked with partner agencies to address persistent issues. Through visible patrols, stop checks and community engagement, we aim to reduce disorder, improve safety and deter those who seek to use our neighbourhoods irresponsibly.

Residential Burglary

Issued 10 September 2026

The Ward Team encourages the community to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity that may be linked to burglary offences. We have used crime reports and intelligence to identify locations that have been targeted and have directed patrols to these areas at key times. We work closely with victims, local residents and partner agencies to identify offenders and prevent further offences. High-visibility patrols, crime prevention advice and targeted policing activity are being used to reduce burglary, protect vulnerable properties and provide reassurance to our community.
