Nine Elms

Welcome to Met Engage,

We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

Nine Elms Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at NineElms@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority Action taken

Priority 1 – Robbery
Robberies have been a persistent issue around Battersea Park, this occasionally pushes its way on to Nine Elms Lane where there have been a number of late night high value robberies. This can be be tackled by an increase of crime awareness to the footfall around the robbery risk areas, increased visible and plain clothes patrols in these areas during the peak times. Multiple department operations such as Operation ROAR involving units such as violent suppression unit, Traffic, Dog Unit.

Issued 28 January 2026

Through intelligence led policing and gathering of additional intel DW’s will identify locations for patrols and potential offenders in order to arrest and convict those responsible. Officers will conduct High visibility patrols and promoting of crime prevention through social media and engagement with the community in order to deliver on the neighbourhood guarantee and summer crime place

Actioned 27 April 2026

Priority 2 – Theft
There has been a high number of push bike thefts in the area, both from external locking points and Burglaries where push bikes kept inside a private area have been stolen.
This issue will be tackled by visiting the hot spot area's, identifying any weakness in their security, check residents bikes if they are locked and how, inform residents to look out for tailgating etc., this has previously been effective with bike theft issues inside Riverlight court.

Issued 28 January 2026

Gathering and analysing of intelligence by your ward officers will enable us to identify locations for patrols and potential offenders. DWO’s will carry out High visibility patrols and promoting of crime prevention through social media and engagement with residents and bike owners.

Actioned 27 April 2026

Priority 3 – ASB
Anti‑social behaviour linked to ongoing protest activity outside the US Embassy is affecting residents living in the immediate vicinity

Issued 28 January 2026

Daily reassurance patrols will take place from 0700–1900 hours. Officers will continue to engage with protesters and will take appropriate action where any offences are identified. Local communities and community leaders will receive ongoing updates, and officers will maintain regular engagement with residents to provide reassurance and address any concerns.

Actioned 27 April 2026

The word cloud below represents the issues raised by residents through their Local Matters survey. We take this into consideration along with discussions with stakeholders, ward panel meetings and conversations with the public when setting our key priorities
