Wandle - Wandsworth Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.
To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at Wandle-Wandsworth@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues
We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:
Priority | Action taken |
---|---|
Youth Violence Issued 15 July 2025 |
To continue patrols in the vicinity of Henry Prince Estate, Garratt Lane and St.Johns Drive, engage with groups of youths, progress investigations of offences identified and liaise / promote good work with local community through street briefings, community events and Ward Panel meetings. Officers secured installation of a temporary CCTV camera overlooking an ASB hotspot area and when appropriate will utilise stop and search powers. Officers will aim to provide reassurance visits to repeat victims of ASB and continue to liaise with partner agencies. Actioned 15 October 2025 |
Theft from Motor Vehicles Issued 15 July 2025 |
Theft from Motor Vehicle remains a long term priority for the ward. Officers will monitor crime trends and utilise predictive mapping and aim to patrol hotspot areas and specifically around Swaffield Road and Whitehead Close. Officers will aim to engage with vehicle owners and offer crime prevention advice. High Visibility patrols continue to take place around these areas and officers will provide regular street briefings for local residents, to provide updates and address any concerns raised. Actioned 15 October 2025 |
Burglary Issued 15 July 2025 |
Dedicated Ward Officers will promote awareness of home security and provide High Visibility patrols in identified burglary hotspot areas. Officers will promote crime prevention through engagement events, home reassurance visits, social media, street briefings and public meetings. Officers will continuously review all reports of burglary and highlight any patterns of offending and adjust their patrols and events accordingly to correspond with locations highlighted. Officers will aim to visit victims of burglaries and have recently completed a property marking scheme across the ward. Actioned 15 October 2025 |
The word cloud below represents the issues raised by residents through their Local Matters survey. We take this into consideration along with discussions with stakeholders, ward panel meetings and conversations with the public when setting our key priorities
