Ealing Broadway

Welcome to Met Engage,

We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

Ealing Broadway Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at EalingBroadway@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority Action taken

VAWG
to conduct high visibility patrols in Ealing Broadway and the surrounding roads to prevent violence offences against women and girls

Issued 15 April 2026

S - conduct plain clothes patrols and high vis patrols in the evening along Ealing Broadway high street.
M - increase number of patrols in the evening and advertise Street Safe
A - outcome of receiving more reports on Street Safe and reducing number of offences against women in this area
R - this issue is relevant after a number of Street Safe reports highlighting areas where members of the public do not feel safe in Ealing Broadway
T - by 14/03/2026 but with regular ongoing reviews at monthly intervals

Actions: officers have continued to hold events and complete patrols focussing on VAWG. The Safe Haven being run at the tube station has received impressive feedback and continues to operate late at peak times to allow individuals to speak to officers and receive crime prevention advice and referrals to be completed. The team have been conducting late patrols outside licensed premises and licencing visits to ensure any ASB is managed appropriately and conditions adhered to

Actioned 30 June 2026

Theft Shoplifting
To reduce number of theft from shops in Ealing Broadway Town Centre W5

Issued 15 April 2026

S - disrupt/prevent shoplifting offences within EB Town Centre and shopping centre
M - patrols uniform and plain clothes, arrests, feedback, reduction of offences and victims, less demand. Arrests have already been made by the team in this area already but acknowledged more work to do.
A - achievable outcome working with security & My Local Bobby to target offenders
R - issue relevant to town centre not residential part of ward
T - to be reviewed at regular intervals i.e. 3 months, 6 months and in line with ward panel meetings where priorities are agreed with residents and key stakeholders

Actions:
Op Drednaw has continued to operate with notable successes. A number of theft shoplifting arrests have been made with suspects charged and remanded. Some suspects have also been wanted by the courts and on recall to prison. A number of CPW/CPNs have been issued along with applications made for CBOs which is an effective method to long term problem solve this issue attracting attention nationally as a priority and manage repeat offenders

Actioned 30 June 2026

Residential Burglaries
To reduce number of residential burglaries occurring in Ealing Broadway ward

Issued 15 April 2026

S - increase arrests of prolific burglars, identify offenders, increase crime prevention inputs
M - decrease number of residential burglaries
A - achieving an outcome of less residential burglaries
R - relevant after a spike in these offences
T - by 21/05/26 with regular ongoing monthly reviews in conjunction with key stakeholders

Actions: officers have continued to conduct follow ups and security surveys for all burglary offences and some suspects have been identified via these follow up enquiries. There has been a marked improvement in the number of residential burglary offences recently however this is a key focus for the team as we understand how intrusive and upsetting this offence can be for our victims
