Southfield

Welcome to Met Engage,

We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

Southfield Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at Southfield@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority Action taken

Conduct patrols to address and, where appropriate, take enforcement action against individuals riding mopeds and e-bikes on pavements, focusing on Warple Way and Stanley Gardens as identified by the community. OP PALIKA enforcement operations to occur when viable.

Specific: Focused on anti-social behaviour in a defined area.
Measurable: through enforcement action, such as s59 Police Reform Act, under the Road Traffic Act or local authority public space protection order
Achievable: Based on current resources and strategies.
Relevant: Supports community safety priorities.
Time-bound: to be reviewed at the next quarterly ward panel

Issued 27 May 2026

Work in partnership with Tesco (The Vale) and MLB to reduce persistent shoplifting and associated violence offences at this repeat venue. This will include increased patrol/targeted offender management/staffing training and input and a problem orientated approach.

Specific: The venue suffers from high levels of theft, which often include acts of violence.
Measurable: Crime statistics, arrests/prosecutions and use of instruments such as CBOs
Achievable: Based on available resources and data-driven deployment.
Relevant: Directly supports community safety and policing priorities.
Time-bound: to be reviewed at the next quarterly ward panel.

Southfield Ward officers will maintain a strong and consistent visible presence across the ward, proactively seeking opportunities for both planned and spontaneous engagement with the public. Officers will also actively promote and drive sign-ups to the Met Engage platform to strengthen community connectivity and trust.

Specific: Focused activities to improve police visibility across the ward
Measurable: through time spent on patrol, mapping data and community feedback
Achievable: Based on current resources and strategies.
Relevant: Lack of visibility has been an ongoing concern on the Southfield ward for several months
Time-bound: To be reviewed at the next quarterly ward panel
