Heathrow Villages

Welcome to Met Engage,

We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

Heathrow Villages Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at HeathrowVillages@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority Action taken

Violence against woman's and girls.

Issued 28 October 2025

Ongoing patrols in around the Bath Road and Harlington, paying attention to identified premises of note. This utilizes Hotspot Policing, deploying officers in areas where harassment and sexual violence are prevalent within the vicinity of the transport networks where this is identified, and intervention required.

Education & Awareness: NPT officers to support our local Education establishments and in addition the Hotel chains across the ward. Establishing and assisting in campaigns/Initiatives like ‘Ask for Angela’.

Criminal Damage and Fly tipping.

Issued 28 October 2025

Prevention Strategies and Planned Actions.

Fly Tipping and Criminal damage has been identified as a ward Priority, and this will require a multi-agency approach. Working with local authorities including but not limited to London Borough of Hillingdon, Environment Agency, landowners, and community groups. These partnerships improve intelligence sharing and coordinated enforcement.
Enforcement - Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs): Issue on-the-spot fines for minor fly-tipping, Prosecution for Serious Offences: For large-scale or hazardous waste dumping, pursue Magistrates’ or Crown Court action

Deterrence - Hotspot Policing: Deploy targeted patrols in areas with high rates of criminal damage/Fly Tipping. Evidence shows hotspot policing combined with problem-solving reduces crime significantly.

Raise awareness – NPT to Run campaigns to educate the public about the legal consequences and the environmental impact of fly-tipping. Build trust through engagement programs—Met Engage, clean-up initiatives, and reporting channels like Crimestoppers. NPT to Share intelligence across agencies to track repeat offenders and organized waste crime groups

Actioned 28 October 2025

Targeting Drug supply and use.

Issued 28 October 2025

Targeting Drug supply and use - Officers to utilize both uniformed and Plain clothes tactics to target those suspected to be involved in the supply of Controlled drugs.

Officers to make use of ANPR data, mobile phone data and recent intelligence to identify those suspected to be involved, using data analytics to identify hotspots and disrupt organized crime groups.

To prevent offenders using the road network, utilizing powers under the Road Traffic act and where appropriate seizures, directly affecting supply chains.

Build trust and partnerships with residents and businesses utilizing social media platforms and engagement tools.

Where suspects are identified seek to ensure preventive measures are sought including Cozart testing and intervention strategies sought.
