South Hornchurch Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Violence against the person. high visibility patrols in areas of concern to combat crime and the fear of crime, along with crime prevention advice for personal safety

Reduce violence against women and girls by arranging pop up stands with crime prevention advice personal protection products. HVP in areas pointed out to us as areas women feel unsafe
Patrol Late nights, especially carparks an closed spaces alleyways. Raise more awareness regarding the walk and talk campaign for women and girls and find innovative ways to make streets safe for women. Send out messages on OWL/Twitter to engage with women on the ward and pursued them to come forward and speak to officers.
Anti-Social Behaviour Cherry Tree Lane
Priority set by ward panel members to target the increase of ASB incidents reported on Cherry Tree Lane.
Engage with local businesses to provide reassurance and offer advice. Identify individuals involved and use the ASB legislation where appropriate.
